The best way to find out what size ring you need is to go to a jeweller to get measured. Your finger can change size from season to season, and even at different times of day. The best time to measure your finger is on a day that isn’t too hot or too cold. If you don’t know your ring size, and you can’t get to a jeweller, you can use try using this at home trick to find out.

You’ll need:

Paper
Scissors
A pen or pencil
A ruler

Step 1

Cut a strip of paper, around 1cm wide. I find using lined paper helps me to cut straight.

Step 2

Wrap the paper around the finger you’d like to size. Make sure this is tight enough to be snug, but also that you can get this on and off past your knuckle.

Step 3

Mark the paper at the point where it overlaps.

Step 4

Measure the strip of paper using a ruler. Make sure you measure this accurately as often there are only a few mm between the different ring sizes.

Step 5

Write your measurement down! I jot it on the strip of paper so I know what that number represents. Now use my handy little chart below to find your ring size!
